I haven’t been working on my blog much over the past year due to health reasons. I’m planning on resuming the series What are Catechisms?, but I don’t expect to post regularly. The Catechisms series was originally intended to be something short while I was researching my next topic, but it turned into a much more time-consuming project than I had expected.
The next series will probably be about is the history of English Bible translations, hopefully starting in the summer or fall of 2023. I’ve been researching the topic since 2020 and I’ve collected more than 20 books on the subject. I’m expecting this to be my longest series to date, going back to Old English (Anglo-Saxon) translations of the Psalms and Gospels over 1,000 years ago; for reference, the King James Version was published in 1611. In the unlikely event you can’t wait for my series, I recommend the books A Visual History of the English Bible and A Visual History of the King James Bible, both by Donald Brake (viaLibri.net is my favorite website for finding used books).
Thank you to all the people who like BibleQuestions.info on Facebook. Almost half of those people have done so since I stopped writing a year ago. I hope that not intended to be a commentary on my articles….
